Saved to Serve
At Zion Baptist Church, we believe every follower is called to serve and help others. We also believe that every person has been gifted by God to do certain things well - things that bless people, change lives, and build up the church.
What things do you do well? What kinds of things are you interested in? How can you use the gifts and interests you have to help others? Where can you plug in to what God is doing in and through Zion Baptist Church and make an impact?
We would love for you to find a place at Zion where you fit - the place where you can connect with others, contribute your gifts and abilities, and celebrate all that God wants to do in you and through you as you help others.
Three Reasons to Serve
1. It's a way to GROW.
Joining a ministry team is a great way to grow in friendships, knowledge, and help in your spiritual journey. Under His direction the whole body is fitted together perfectly, and each part in its own special way helps the other parts, so that the whole body is healthy and growing full of love. (Eph. 4:16)
2. It's a way to GIVE BACK.
Has the ministry of Zion Baptist Church touched your life in a meaningful way? Now is your chance to make a difference in someone else's life. God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God's many kinds of blessings. (I Peter 4:10)
3. It's a way to GLORIFY GOD.
Not only will you build relationships, and enjoy the satisfaction of a job worth doing, but more importantly, you will glorify God. Are you called to help others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies, so that God will be glorified through Jesus Christ-to Him be glory and power forever and ever. (I Peter 4:11)
